The highly skilled luthiers in the Vintage workshop have picked another beauty from the Vintage® ReIssued™ Series, the single cutaway V62 which, for many years has been one of the favourites for serious electric guitar players around the world.

Re sprayed in a beautiful Metallic Blue with a cellulose top coat and hand applied lacquer cracking, the V62 now wears a coat that has been subtly aged with meticulously authentic accuracy, appealing to connoisseurs who want a professionally built guitar as close as they can get to a gig-worn, well looked after guitar from the 1950’s and early 60’s.

Aged hardware also includes the bridge cover which, for many owners of early models has so often become lost or abandoned over the decades. Originally designed as protection for the strumming hand and to help shield the bridge pickup from feedback issues, like the models of yesteryear, the bridge cover completes the gorgeous worn nickel chrome picture.

These cool aesthetics are now offset with a single-ply satin black Bakelite scratchplate, enhancing the 50’s/60’s vibe and a perfect match to the worn hardware.

Fitted with a pair of Wilkinson single coils the Vintage ProShop V62  with a hard rock maple neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, effortlessly delivers all the classic tones associated with this iconic designed guitar, ideal for country, jazz, blues and rock styles. A Wilkinson WTB intonatable bridge, Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55S machine heads and a friction free graphite nut, ensure tuning is rock solid and intonation is pin-point accurate.

Like all models in the series it included a full ProShop set up: 

• Fret-level, crown and polish.
• Fingerboard dress and comfort treatment.
• Truss rod adjustment and set.
• Action height, radius, intonation and pickup height adjustment.
• Nut slot regulation.

Body:
Eastern poplar body provides resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, enhanced with correctly radiused contoured body. Re sprayed metallic blue.

Scratchplate:
Satin black Bakelite.

Bridge:
The Wilkinson WTB intonatable bridge is a masterpiece of design, eliminating age-old intonation problems often found in three saddle, fixed bridge designs.

Pickups:
Pair of Wilkinson Single Coils for traditional tones combined with contemporary power, courtesy of a WVTN Alnico pickup at the neck and a WVTB Alnico in the bridge position.

Controls:
Single master Volume and Tone controls with three-way pickup selector switch.

Machine Heads:
Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55S for increased tuning stability.

Neck:
Hard rock maple with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile for instant comfort, speed, accuracy and great feel.

Fingerboard:
Traditional 10" radius Rosewood fingerboard provides positive feel and superior playability.

22 Medium profile frets add to comfort, accuracy and overall positive feel of the Vintage V62.
