Vintage 1967 Marshall JMP 100w Super PA Amplifier Head
Vintage 1967 Marshall JMP 100w Super PA Amplifier Head
I couldn't believe it when I got the opportunity to buy this beauty. It was sat unused in the London area for many years, and I picked it up alongside a stupidly cool Black Flag Super Bass (now sold). It had been purchased around the same time and stayed with the same owner for all these years. One of the last great 'Black Flag' circuits with the Drake 1203-80, 1202-132 and 352-114 transformers inside. The crossover from the Black Flag to JMP happened around the time this amplifier was purchased new, so this is a really rare crossover between the two. In essence, you're getting the sound and internals of a black flag at the cost of a JMP!
This one in particular is serial number 20573, and has the original transformers as you can see. The 4x EL34s are newer replacements, and the ECC83s are a mixture of original and replacements. There are a few replacements to the circuitboard to make this amplifier work, but nothing significant. It really is an exceptional amplifier that is not going to disappoint! This is an extremely rare version of this amplifier as much was changed later on. A beauty! Please see the pictures below as they form part of my description.
