There's Summit strange about those pickups...
First off, this Godin weighs a lot less than the guitar that inspired it. Second off, it plays very smoothly and the gloss neck is comfortable in the hand.
But let us talk about the pickups: Seymour Duncan P-Rails allow the player to choose between single-coil, P90 and humbucking pickups at the flick of a switch. Although all the tones are excellent, we are particularly taken with the P90 sounds (probably just because there are fewer of them around!). And then there is a weird litle black switch next to the tone control - this activates a battery-powered boost circuit with a tone shift perfect for solos if pedals aren't your thing.
