Description
Player grade 1979 Fender Stratocaster with tremolo in tobacco Sunburst finish. It’s a 1979 Fender Stratocaster serial number S972379 (tremolo) model in ash (?) with maple neck and fingerboard and black plastic parts. This is an example of a 79 Strat with a nice weight. The fret wear is reasonable and still lots of life in it. Cosmetically there is quite a bit of wear and period commensurate scratching and minor dings and dents. A there is a scratch where attempts were made to lift the front of scratch plate. Also attempts have been made to apply shielding paint in the routed pick up cavities etc. The varnish on the body and neck has aged and is showing some localised signs of flaking. The guitar plays fine with working electrics, ready to play. Guitar comes with gig bag.
