'Elderwood Guitars' are a small enterprise on the outskirts of Cumbria,set in the stunning Landscape of the Lake District in the North West of England. Most of their electric Guitars are Custom builds within the scope of their established construction methods.

In the main ,Elderwood Guitars use reclaimed timber and the bodies are usually made out of salvaged Pine from old Buildings.This light and well seasoned wood gives the instrument an airy tone and a strong unplugged acoustic brightness, plus the slightly lighter weight, improves sustain and reduces fatigue for the player.

They have slab or chambered bodies and bolt on necks, are all hand finished in a mid sheen laquer to create a slightly aged appearance, capturing the vibe of an earlier era, what Fender might refer to as a "Closet Classic".Their Guitars are carefully crafted and finished to look and feel like a well loved Guitar, often with a very tactile feel coming from the grain of the old pine.

This unique, one of a kind , semi-acoustic Guitar, 'Reagan' ,is different again from most Elderwood guitars ,as it has a lightweight body made of a composite(rather than Pine) much like a classic Danelectro.It's Maple neck and fingerboard are very comfortable to play on and give it a lovely bright tone.The bridge pick up is a double rail humbucker, the neck pickup is a silverfoil humbucker put together by Elderwood .These give the guitar a great variety of textures and tones.

It also has a volume bypass switch that takes you from a quieter volume set when you are playing rythmn to fulll volume for your solo parts, an excellent tool for performing or recording. 

It's reliced paint work , unsual body shape and interesting pickups,make this a seriously cool and unusual, one off guitar!
