This is a 1st Edition 1991 Charvel Surfcaster in Vintage Glow, All original! comes with its original Grey hardshell case & original whammy bar!

The Surfacaster (as we know it today) was released by Charvel in 1991. The Surfcaster was Charvel's first step in showing the world that they weren't just another 80's pointy headstocked brand & that they could do so much more. By introducing the Surfcaster in the 90s Charvel showed us that you could get a very original and vintage-looking and sounding instrument, with the versatility, reliability & high-end feel that Charvel is known for.

Our 91' Surfcaster is in Fantastic condition! and as previously mentioned it comes with its original grey hardshell case and whammy bar! It features a gorgeous thin D shape neck that fits beautifully in the hand, although the Surfcaster looks the type to be favored by that of the Beachboys, I'd have no doubt in my mind that even a guitarist like Steve Vai would happily and easily play the flashiest of licks on it! Other features on the Surfcaster include a rolling nut, push-pull control to invert the phase between pickups in the middle position, and an original Gotoh-designed floating trem.

The setup is really good, with lots of life left in the frets and a clean unmarked fingerboard. All though this guitar has had some lacquer cracking & damage to its lower edge (pictured) and a lacquer crack around the treble side neck pocket, this is cosmetic, not structural. We assure you it has many years of service left in it!
