Brandoni Custom acoustic bass guitar model R.B.4 EL. Made by Brandoni circa 2000s. The model number is hand written on the label inside the body.

Sadly Roberto Brandoni passed away last year but his legacy of putting together excellent guitars and bassesremains, and this is no exception. 

Brandoni is mostly known for the guitars and basses built from the left over stock of Italian made Vox and Eko guitars and this originally would have been the bones of an Italian made Eko acoustic bass that Brandoni finished in his Wembley workshop by adding passive electronics, a custom made tailpiece and his decal to the headstock.

The hardware is chrome and lightly tarnished in places but working well. 

The bass has marks and wear in places, scuffs and minor indents on the top (the worst of which has been repaired and finished smooth by my repairman) and and obvious 'ghost' mark from a removed sticker along with other small marks / indents on the body. There is also a minor touched in indent on the the headstock edge. 

The strings are used at the time of listing. They were the only ones I could find that I had that would work due to the long reach to the tailpiece. I had to peel away the material from the nut end of the E string. This does not effect how the string operates it just looks a bit short as it approches the nut but as you press next to the fret its fine. It plays nicely with a decent action.

The electrics are passive so there are no electrics, battery or pre amp.

There are not too many Brandoni Custom instruments about so grab this big old bass while you can.

No case but will be well packaged and boxed for shipping.
