Iconic Les Paul Custom finished in Wine Red, and from the mid 90's which were a desirable period for Gibson.

It is in good 'gigged' condition with blemishes, dings, lacquer wear and ageing on close inspection, ensuring it has tonnes of character and feels like a 30 year old vintage guitar. It has a small repair to the corner of the headstock where the binding had chipped off, and if you look very carefully you can see the bridge posts have shrunk ever so slightly into the body (cosmetic only). The frets show signs of use (as you'd expect given age) but there's no playability issues and everything works as it should. It would make a great gigging workhorse Les Paul and is a decent weight for a 90's Custom at only 9lb 13oz.


You get all of the traditional custom specs including that mahogany body with custom binding, C-profile mahogany neck (would say more 50's thickness than 60's), an ebony fingerboard, pearl block inlays and gold hardware. The tuners have been upgraded to quality Gotoh, it has a non-original pickguard and has just been treated to a brand new nut. Tone-wise this guitar really sings thanks to its original 490R and 498T pickups.


It comes complete with its original hardshell case to keep it protected and some paperwork as pictured. The leather has come off the handle but is included in the case should the lucky new owner wish to fix/re-staple it, and the case is fully functional as is.
